The 2024 UCI BMX Racing World Championships will return to Rock Hill, S.C., U.S.A. May 12-18. The upcoming event will mark the venue's second time hosting the UCI World Championships, following its successful debut in 2017. At the 2017 race, Americans Corben Sharrah (Tucson, Arizona; Daylight Cycle Co.) and Alise Willoughby (Saint Cloud, Minn.; Team Toyota/ Daylight Cycle Co.) celebrated victories clinching both the Elite Men’s and Elite Women’s World Titles. Both Sharrah and Willoughby are set to return to Team USA seven years later, and are aiming for another World Championship medal.
A total of 27 athletes have been selected for the Junior, Under-23, and Elite teams competing in the UCI categories. Felicia Stancil (Lake Villa, Ill.; Factory SSquared/Answer) will be a rider to watch after winning her first Elite World title at the 2022 UCI BMX Racing World Championships in Nantes, France. This season, Willoughby, Jeremy Smith (Seminole, Fla.; Hyper Bicycles), and Ava Corley (La Mirada, Calif.; Tangent/ Rift/ Rockstar Racing Team) have all rode to podium spots in their respective fields at the UCI World Cup rounds in Rotorua and Brisbane.

The final two Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifying events for BMX Racing are both taking place in the United States Prior to the World Championships, the last UCI World Cup of the season will be in Tulsa, Okla.
