Rock Hill, S.C. – The 2023 USA Cycling Masters Track National Championships headed to the 250-meter Rock Hill Velodrome last week for six days of fast and furious track racing. Hot weather and a couple rain delays didn’t stop these masters athletes from bring their A-game to the track. After six intense days of racing, 103 national titles were awarded. The Best All-Around Team and Best All-Around Rider were also awarded.
Day 1:
The first day of competition greeted riders with high temperatures and perfect track conditions. Riders would start the day off with sprint qualifiers and ending with sprint finals in the evening. Ten proud riders took home the Stars and Stripes jersey that evening.

Day 3:
Rain hindered the start of the day’s 500 meter and kilo time trials with start times pushed back into the afternoon. Once the rain cleared and the track was dry, riders took to their speed machines to race against the clock. The day finished with 20 riders earning the fastest times in their age group and the coveted Stars and Stripes jersey.

The scratch races and points races were the headline for today’s events. Riders would compete against one another to see who had the best strategy, endurance, and speed. In the end, 36 athletes were awarded a national championship jersey.
