Aunika Kemp was born and raised in Herriman, Utah and is a senior at Mountain Ridge High School. She currently races for the Kuhl Cycling Team. At a very young age Aunika started going on mountain biking adventures with her dad all around Utah’s diverse terrain. As a Freshman in High School Aunika joined the Mountain Ridge High School Mountain Bike Team and quickly feel in love with racing and competing. Aunika was the 2018 Utah Sophomore State Champion, and in 2020 she won second place in the Utah Varsity State Championship. Aunika plans on attending Lindenwood University where she will continue racing starting in the fall of 2021. Although mountain biking is Aunika’s favorite way to spend her time, she also loves hiking, skiing, wake surfing, camping, playing the piano, doing triathlons, and hanging out with friends.

This is a picture at the finish line of nationals in 2019. This race was particularly stressful because I raced the whole race with a broken wrist and a cast on my left arm.
