Justin got into riding when his hometown, Virginia Beach, built a new skate park. His older brothers got into it and he followed their lead. Now he is known for his signature trick the “Twix” (mixing a tailwhip and a bar at the same time), and is the only rider who does this trick in competition. In 2018, Justin won his first World Championships then in 2019, scored a bronze medal at the Pan American Games. He then went on to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games as one of the top ranked riders.
