After seeing BMX Freestyle on TV while watching the XGames, Nick fell in love with the idea of flying into the air on a bike. That’s all he wanted to do ever since that moment and luckily, he was pretty good at it at a young age. After taking a hiatus off the bike during high school due to work & baseball, he found my passion again on the bike while attending college as he had a bit more freedom of his schedule. He started progressing really fast and friends pushed him to enter an amateur series called the Free Flow Tour. If you won, you had a chance to compete against the pros in the Dew Actions Sports Tour, a huge pro series at the time. He ended up winning the Free Flow Tour in both BMX Park & BMX Dirt, earning a spot to compete against the pros. That was when he realized this is what he wanted to pursue more than anything. Fast forward to years of competing in pro events all over the world and doing demos, he was able to achieve way more than he ever anticipated or expected. The biggest surprise was that BMX Freestyle became an Olympic sport and he was fortunate enough to qualify and be one of the first Olympians in his sport. With BMX Freestyle being in the Olympics, it has brought so many great opportunities, including, what he considers to be the biggest honor, being a part of USA Cycling National Team.
