I started racing when I was 4 years old at a local duathlon in Granite Bay, CA. Most races when I was younger were triathlon races because I was on a swim team for many years. As I got older it transformed into mostly XC racing with a few triathlons here and there. In 2018, I got a Specialized Enduro Expert and started racing enduro races to increase my technical skill on the bike. I’ve been competing in enduro races since then and have seen my speed increase dramatically on the bike. XC racing and enduro racing compliment each other so well it has really brought me up as a rider. I have also done 3 road races in my career that have given me more diversity on the bike, as well as new race strategies for any riding discipline. 2019 was one of my best years of XC racing overall. I won every NorCal NICA race in my Freshman class, except for one second place. States followed the NICA season and I was able to have a strong race and become the Freshman NICA State Champion. It was one of the hardest races I’ve ever done due to the harsh weather and tight competition. Some of my favorite XC races have included the Downieville Classic, NICA State Championship, US Pro Cup in Fayetteville, AR and Nationals when it was held in Mammoth, CA. I’m looking forward to competing in the upcoming 2021 Nationals in Winter Park, Colorado.
